Last week Q-Bot hit a new record: installing underfloor insulation in over 5,000 homes in the UK and overseas. If you’re not familiar with Q-Bot’s history, here are a few important dates:

  • 2012: Q-Bot was founded by Tom Lipinski and Prof. Peter Childs.
  • 2014: Q-Bot’s underfloor insulation robots completed their first installations.
  • 2017: Q-Bot onboarded its first install partner.
  • 2019: Q-Bot released its 7th generation of robots, allowing installers to access underfloor voids as low as 200mm height.

By November 2024, over 5,000 properties have been made warmer, less humid and more energy efficient thanks to Q-Bot’s underfloor insulation process*. This is the equivalent of saving roughly 3,000 London-New York flights worth of CO2 emissions per year, amounting to over 15 000 tonnes of CO2e avoided! This remarkable achievement was made possible by Q-Bot’s fleet of small yet powerful underfloor insulation robots, skilfully operated by our dedicated direct installers and trusted accredited partners.

Q-Bot’s ambition doesn’t stop there. In the next decade, we aim to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 1,000,000 tonnes through scaling up our technologies. Check out Our Services to learn more about our work.
